What the house of the Part of Fortune says in your birth chart
The sign of the Part of Fortune says in what manner; the house says WHERE. And in this series the house has an advantage no other house on this site has.
It is the only house in the chart that barely moves when the birth time is wrong. Measured in São Paulo, every six hours across fifty years: one hour of error changes the house of the North Node in 50.1% of charts, and the house of the Part of Fortune in 5.5%. Four minutes of error change it in 0.3%. In every other house series the honest sentence is “without the exact time, the house is worthless”; here it is not.
And the measurement says why. In one hour the Ascendant moves 15.01 degrees — and the Part of Fortune moves 15.01 degrees. It travels with the Ascendant because it comes from it: the formula is the Ascendant plus the distance between the Moon and the Sun. Only the Moon opens a gap between the two, 0.51 degree per hour. From that comes an identity, not a coincidence: the distance from the Ascendant to the Part of Fortune IS the phase of the Moon. We checked it in 73,050 charts, with a worst-case difference of 0.0000000000002 degree.
And the house shares out evenly — each of the twelve receives the Part of Fortune around 8.3% of the time, with a maximum deviation from flat of 0.180 percentage point.
There is one large trap. The classical formula changes between day and night, and the two versions never fall in the same house — zero in 73,050 measurements. They mirror each other around the line of the Ascendant, so one is always on one side and the other on the other. Whoever uses the wrong formula does not get it wrong sometimes: they get it wrong always.
And a limit stated on the first screen, because the old name misleads: the Part of Fortune is not luck and does not promise money. What the modern reading describes is the place in the chart where a person recovers without spending strength.
What it means to have the Part of Fortune in the 6th house
The Part of Fortune in the 6th house puts rest where almost nobody looks for it: in the routine, in the task assigned and in the body in order. It is the house of the working day — small labour, health, method. With the Part of Fortune here, a person recovers by carrying out, not by taking time off.
It is not the house of someone who likes working. It is the house of someone who organises the morning and feels her body settle, and for whom a week without structure is a week dismantled.
And here is what hardly any text writes down: this is the worst-explained of the twelve, because its rest looks like the opposite of rest. It does not show up as discipline. It shows up in the difference between an empty Sunday and a Sunday with three simple things planned. These are concrete signs, the kind you recognise in your own week:

That strength does best in a craft with method and a visible result: health, production, maintenance, any work where what is started gets finished. And it pays off badly in pure planning with no execution, because there the 6th house is left without the gesture that rests it.
What are the challenges of the Part of Fortune in the 6th house
There are two, and they are opposites: the excess is using the task in order not to feel, and the deficiency is someone who despises routine and lives in a disorder that exhausts her. At the New and the Full Moon it does not matter whether the chart is diurnal or nocturnal: adding and subtracting zero is the same calculation, and the same holds for 180 degrees. At the quarters it does matter, and the swap is from one angle to the other. Whoever has the Part of Fortune in the 6th house was usually born with a waxing gibbous Moon in a diurnal chart — almost full, but not yet. In a diurnal chart with a gibbous Moon, approaching Full, that calculation lands in the 6th house.
It is the phase of finishing: the thing is made and the adjustment is left. The 6th house is where one rests by making the adjustment.

What changes with time is not the person relaxing: it is her no longer feeling guilty for needing order. At twenty, liking routine looked like a lack of daring. Later it becomes what makes everything else possible.
